At the naturalistic level of research, the problem statements
can be quite
vague. I suppose it could be argued that at any
level the statement of the
problem ought to be refined as
much as possible, appropriate for that level of
research. So
there you are; the answer to that item can be either True or False!
This may be a good time to remind you that a good scientist has to be
able to
tolerate ambiguity. But in this case, false is probably more
correct in that it
is more critical to refine problem statements
the higher the constraint level.
