Correct

Defining a variable, both conceptually and operationally,
is critical in research. The less precise the operational
definition of a variable, the more vagueness and
uncertainty that is introduced into the measurement process.
It follows, then, that greater measurement error will occur
with weaker or less precise operational definitions. Conversely,
the more precise the operational definition, the lower
will be the measurement error.
