 B.  Clinical-Community (Consultancies and Part-time Clinical Directorships).

  • 1963-1967-  Director, NOMIC Child Development Center, Create and operate a behavior modification treatment program for severely disturbed children. Duties: clinical evaluations, training professionals and sub-professionals in behavior therapy; planning, evaluation, supervision of all aspects of treatment programs, parent training, research. Staff included psychiatric, psychological and social work consultants; behavior therapists, sub-professionals, certified teachers.  Summer programs included a staff of thirty, and focused on behavior  modification of disturbed, poverty-level children, training of teachers, college students, high school students and adults.

  • 1965-1967 -Twice served as Acting Director, Kennedy Center Diagnostic and Treatment Clinic for children with mental retardation, Bridgeport, CT, while a new director was being sought.  Duties included psychological testing supervision of clinic staff, policy, etc.

  • 1967-1974 -Served in a variety of positions, as described below: 

  •  Psychological consultant to High Meadows, State  Residential School for Children.

  • Director, Behavior Research, The Foundation School, Orange, CT.  Duties:  Operate a behavior modification program for  severely disturbed children, conduct and supervise integral research-service program.

  • Special consultant in children's services, to the Commissioner, Erie County Department of Mental Health.

  • Consultant, Attica Correctional Facility, to develop and evaluate a token economy program.

  • Consultant, Gowanda State Hospital, to introduce staff to behavior modification approaches.
