Descriptive Statistics

This screen shows the Crosstabs box. To do a cross tabulation of sex by political affiliation, move one of these variables to the row box and the other to the column box.

It is possible to do a cross tabulation with more than two variables by moving the variable names accordingly. For example, If you wanted to see the distribution of income for each of the six cells formed by the joint variables of sex and political affiliation (e.g., female republicans), you would put the variable of income in the rows box, the variable of sex in the columns box, and the variable of political affiliation in the layer box at the bottom.
