Correct

Science emerged more than 2000 years ago, with important
antecedents that date back some 8000 years in human history!
But where do we locate modern science? One might claim it arose
early in the Renaissance, or in the 17th or perhaps the 20th century.
We cannot precisely mark its appearance, because it was not a
sudden creation. Rather, it has evolved to its present state, and will
continue to evolve. However, it is clear that modern science evolved
long before the 1950s.
