Rationalism is a major improvement over tenacity, supposed
intuition, or
appeals to authority. Rationalism applies systematic
logic to think through and
test ideas. It has its limits though.
Do you know what they are? But when
combined with empiricism,
as is done in science, rationalism is extremely
powerful.
