To understand statistical interpretations, you really have
to have a clear
understanding of what is meant by alpha
level and Type I and Type II errors.
Because the nomenclature
is somewhat arbitrary, our advice is to study the
appropriate
sections in Chapter 5 and memorize those meanings and distinctions.
Once you have done that, understanding should come, all
confusion will
evaporate, and the world will seem a better place.
